Corona Friends

The other objective of the project is to show, that especially the REEP girls but also the other supporting actors in REEP – and REEP as an organisation – can be trusted to be part of local, voluntary actions as reliable and active citizens in a time of crisis. As such, REEP will navigate the global corona crisis through local actions – using the solidly local anchorage network in REEP to reach people in the rural communities and diminish the danger of the virus through adequate information and necessary precautions, including the ‘REEP Corona friends’ support system for risk groups who would otherwise be without much support and assistance from the formal system.  

Due to the fear of the havoc that this disease can cause in these local communities, REEP will as a community-based organisation assist to ensure that local people understand what the Coronavirus disease is about and ensure that they adhere to the safety precautions that has been spelled out.
